Thank you for your interest in our French cottage. It is two hundred and fifty years old and lies in between the large towns of St.Lo and Coutances in a small Village called Notre Dame de Cenilly. It is a beautiful stone built property with all original features like stonework, beams and fireplace. The house was owned by an English builder for seven years before us and he has done a great deal of work to improve it, ie, conservatory and extension.

Downstairs is carpeted and is entered via the conservatory which leads through to the large dining room containing the huge fireplace which could accommodate an open fire or log burning stove. The dining room has a large bibliotheque wall at one end made from walnut shelving.

The bathroom and kitchen windows look out onto pleasant farm fields where calves can sometimes be seen grazing at certain times of the year. The farmer does not operate commercially anymore although keeps half a dozen cows for his hobby.
